What is a Skilled Worker Visa Application?

The Skilled Worker Visa allows overseas nationals to live and work in the UK if they have a job offer from an approved employer. This route replaces the old Tier 2 (General) Work Visa and provides opportunities for skilled professionals across various industries, including healthcare, IT, engineering, education, and more. With this visa, applicants can bring dependants, access healthcare, and eventually apply for settlement if they meet the eligibility requirements.

It is designed to attract talent to the UK labour market and ensure businesses can hire qualified professionals when local skills are in shortage.
